June 14th 2010 Shortly after 12 noon Sta 3-1 was dispatched to 60 Glenbrook Rd to assist Sta 3-11 on a dwelling fire. Chief 3-11 (Dagen) arrived on the scene with smoke showing from a single family rancher. Engine 3-1-1 was first to arrive and quickly knocked down a working dryer fire in a garage. June 15 2010 On Tuesday evening Engine 3-1-2 went to train with Sta 4-1 ( Bird in Hand) on tanker shuttle operations. E3-1-2 setup a drafting site at Stumptown Rd and Gibbons Rd and we filled Tankers that in turn shuttled water to a mock barn fire. This was done to test the flow capabilities of neighboring Co's to see if they could get enough water to a fire back a long farm lane. We operated for about 2 1/2 hours and then held a critique on the training. This training also offered time for our newer drivers to get some pump time in on the engine.
June 21 2010 This evening Sta 3-1 invited Sta 6-3 (Lafayette) to do live-fire training on some vehicles that we had obtained from a local business. We did some evolutions on 5 cars and let some of the newer firefighters get some experience on some realtime fire. Thank you to Lt Andrews from 63 and Capt Spangler from our station for setting this training up.
